The 68-tier Waterfall spreads along the undulating terrain, winding over uneven bluestone riverbeds. Water flows gently down the stepped river, caressing the stones or gathering into delicate cascades layer upon layer. Sunlight filters through dense foliage, casting sparkling glimmers on the water surface. The crisp sound of water striking stones rises rhythmically, like a soft melody composed by nature itself.
Meaning "beautiful goddess" in the Buyi language, Laya Waterfall serves as the crowning jewel of the valley. Stretching over 20 meters in width and dropping 30 meters vertically, it pours down the steep cliff like a flowing white silk skirt. Splashing water fills the air with mist, which refracts sunlight into faint rainbows on sunny days. Composed of two connected lakes and surrounded by green mountains and dense forests, its crystal-clear water displays layered shades of emerald green, just like a jade inlaid in the valley. The calm lake surface mirrors the green mountains, lush trees and blue sky with white clouds perfectly, blending real scenery and reflections into one seamless picturesque view.
Boating on the lake, you glide across the blue waves, realizing the poetic scene of "sailing a boat amidst a painting". The water is so clear that underwater pebbles and waterweeds are fully visible. Lush vegetation and distant bird songs surround the lake, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere that makes people feel as if they have strayed into a hidden paradise, washing away all weariness of the mind and body.
